Libby has a cribby

Just shy of 33 weeks pregnant it is very safe to say that the nursery has been a very slow process.

Clean out. reorganize. donate repeat...

Complete fruit basket turnover. Slowly but surely a nursery is coming together.

Libby's baby bed was a generous gift from my parents. It arrived RIGHT before John left for Haiti. What a labor of love to put it together before his trip.

please pray

I am shipping off my favorite, most loved, most cherished person in the world

...all the way here

Haiti.

John is thrilled. His heart aches for these people and he longs to make a difference.

I am selfish, and I honestly just like having him with me.

He is called and I am thankful that he can go on behalf of our family.

Pray that these people see the love of our great big God. Pray that lives are forever changed. Pray that John is able to make a difference for His glory...and please pray he comes home safely

showered

My heart might just explode with gratitude for these girls. I am thankful for them daily, and proud to call each of them friend.
Last weekend they hosted a baby shower in honor of our baby girl, and truly went above and beyond in every way.

Beautiful home, beautiful food, beautiful flowers

special personalized touches and details

yummy, perfect cookies

and so many precious, wonderful gifts!

I have to also brag on John who surprised me by sending a gift to the shower. He is incredible and never ceases to amaze me with his kindness.

I was so overwhelmed, honored and humbled it moved in to the ugly cry

So thankful. So blessed. So excited about our baby girl who is already so loved.

A special thank you to the most important women in my life for taking the time and effort to travel to celebrate Libby. What a gift to have each of you there on such a wonderful day.

Aly, thank you for capturing these memories. I will treasure them always.

pink or blue!?! they didn't have a clue!

We could not wait to share our exciting news with our families! Luckily, we were already planning to visit everyone Easter weekend, so it was the perfect time to let everyone know who Baby McFee is!

First stop. Hartselle!

After the ultrasound I ordered this cake, and bought blue plates and pink plates in preparation for the big reveal. Luckily our family humored me and was willing to play the game. If you thought Baby McFee was a boy, you picked a blue plate, and if you thought girl, you picked a pink plate. The inside of the cake tells the secret!

the BLUE team!

Safe to say the McFees were thinking BOY!

the PINK team!

Pop and Payton (and Emily) were the only ones thinking pink!

MacMama did the honors of cutting the cake...

PINK
It's a girl! I think everyone was shocked!

Thank you for helping us make such a special memory!

It's a SHE!

On April 21st we were thrilled to learn Baby McFee was healthy and measuring right on track.
Thanks be to God! We also learned Baby McFee is a GIRL!

I've dreamed of having a baby girl, but for some reason kind of pictured our first child as a boy. Before the ultrasound when people asked what we wanted I HONESTLY just wanted a healthy baby, but what a joy just to KNOW!

When the tech said "you've got a...(dramatic pause)..daddy's little girl!" We were over the moon!

John was smiling so big I thought he might bust and all I could say was
"IT....is a SHE. it's a she! A.SHE"
(not really sure why I didn't say GIRL, but I'm learning I have odd responses in big life moments)

Here SHE is....
