You are my joy! You are happy all the time like your daddy, and seem way too easy to make smile and laugh like your mommy. You love to coo and babble so much that we are already nervous about when you learn words! You are such a blessing to us. I love you with all my heart.

eight weeks

Eight short weeks ago my little world was forever changed.

Turned. upside. down.

A baby we wanted so badly. A baby we prayed for for months. A face we loved even before we ever saw it.

My whole life I've wanted to be a mother, and on September 20th at 7:47 Libby made my dreams a reality.

She gave me the promotion of a lifetime. She made me her Mom.

The past two months have been filled with so many firsts, so much joy, lots of tears, lots of prayers, lots of love, and LOTS of diapers.

I've learned so much about myself as I try to learn about this little person God saw fit for me to mother. I am selfish. I hate not being in control. I took showers forgranted. I'm not as flexible as I thought I was. And man, I sure do like sleep.

I've also learned that when I love, I love with my whole being.

Libby, I am beyond honored to be your mother. You are beautiful and perfect. Thank you for being so patient with me as I learn to be your mom. I love you.
